Capital One wanted to promote their partnership with HotelTonight, so we used a blend of traditional media relations and our Capital One Influencer Network to spread the word! Capital One Venture cardholders received and additional 10% discount when they booked their stay with HotelTonight using their Venture card.

In order to build excitement around the promotion, we chose three travel influencers to spin a Wheel of Fortune-style wheel that had different U.S. locations as options - the one they landed on was where they would go to stay for 3 days and document their travels on social media with their Capital One Venture card. We showed the influencers spinning the wheels on a Capital One Facebook Live at HotelTonight’s HQ in California. We wanted to capture the true essence of HotelTonight’s last-minute booking philosophy, which is why none of the influencers knew where the wheel would land! Our amazing influencers of choice were Kirsten Alana (@kirstenalana), Stefanie Michaels (@adventuregirl) and David Thompson (@davedtc).

The Facebook Live post received over 15,000 views, 214 engagements and 51 shares. We channeled the use of our influencer network and traditional media relations to attack all aspects possible and receive maximum exposure for Capital One’s campaign.
