Israeli camera supply company, miggo, wanted to change the way we take photos on our phones - so they came to us to launch Pictar, the handheld device that made your phone camera shoot like a DSLR camera.

Since this was a Kickstarter campaign, we decided to aggressively seek deskside media opportunities where we would provide samples and show each editor how the product worked. The key to this campaign’s success was channeling the basic components of media relations and working closely with editors to create a cohesive story that went live when the campaign officially launched.

Some key numbers about the campaign’s success:

  • In 3 days, miggo reached their $100,000 fundraising goal

  • By the end of the campaign, miggo surpassed their goal by 200% reaching $318,000

  • Over 300 placements were secured generating 337m impressions to promote the campaign including The Knot, TODAY Show, Teen Vogue and more
